The Better Broadband Voucher Scheme was developed by the UK government to help people with a broadband speed of less than 2 Mbps to access a basic broadband service with a download speed of at least 10 Mbps. The scheme was brought in ahead of the launch of the Universal Service Obligation (USO) that is due to come into operation in March 2020.
ESCC has been advised that the scheme will close at the end of 2019 and that the last date for suppliers to request Better Broadband vouchers is Friday 29 November 2019. Further details can be found through this link: https://www.esussex.org/PublicContent/National%20Schemes#nbbs
We will publish further detail on the USO when it is launched by Ofcom.
In the meantime, there are 2 other national schemes available for residents and businesses to apply for subsidised funding, details of which are shown on the project website: https://www.esussex.org/PublicContent/National%20Schemes#nbbs
