Creative Cakecraft

Crowborough family business

Creative Cakecraft is a small family run business in Crowborough, East Sussex, right next to the station.   Owned and managed by Suzanne Bartlett, they make cakes for all occasions: wedding cakes, birthday cakes and everything between!

Sue explained how better Broadband would support her business and customers, saying:

“We use our website for marketing both our cakes and the various courses and demonstrations we run, as well as using it as a way for our customers to contact us.  We depend on reliable Broadband to promote our business wider than to the local community, and to showcase our work.

As well as this, so that we can move with the times, we are keen for customers to be able contact us by e-mail to place orders, ask question, send us their pictures – if we cannot respond to them quickly and efficiently, then we risk losing business and new opportunities to develop.

The East Sussex County Council project will mean I’ll be able to order a better service from my Broadband provider, in turn allowing me to develop my company, modernise my systems and keep up to date with trends through researching via the internet.  I am extremely pleased that the Council is taking the time to support communities who have been left behind as electronic communications have developed.”

The Broadband Team were so impressed by Sue’s work that she was asked to make the cake for its Celebration Event in Hadlow Down on 3rd April 2014, marking the first fibre-enabled Cabinets in the project to go live.  Sue didn’t let us down.
