Our privacy policy

Our policy is to respect and protect the privacy of anyone who makes contact with the eSussex programme.

Personal information that you provide to us

We have taken great care to make sure that no-one can intercept personal information about you.

Where you provide personal information to us (such as sending an email, calling us over the phone or by completing an online form) this information will only be used for the purposes indicated and it will be held securely.

Your information will not be used for any other purpose without your permission and will not be kept for longer than necessary and in no event beyond the end of the eSussex programme, currently scheduled to complete in March 2027.

All personally identified information is kept in a secure environment. Where it is held electronically it is encrypted and password protected.

The Council will only contact you if you have consented for us to do so.  The Council may use email, telephone or post to contact you, depending upon any preferences you may have stated when contacting us.

Use of IP addresses

Every computer has its own individual IP address, identifying it in the same way as a telephone number identifies your phone line.

Your anonymised IP address will appear on our usage logs which help us monitor how people use the site.  This means that while your use of the website will be logged you will remain anonymous to us.
